How to keep CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md rules the same across a team
Rules files tell an agent how your team works. When each person keeps their own copy, they drift. Here's how to keep them in step.
Rules that belong to one repo
Commit CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md to the repo. That's the right place for rules about that codebase.
Rules that belong to the team
Rules like "never commit secrets", "write tests first" or "how we name branches" apply in every repo. Copying them into each repo and each person's home folder means they drift, and each agent reads a different file.
How Koruvai does it
- Your team keeps its skills, rules, hooks and MCP servers in one place on koruvai.com.
- Each teammate pastes one message into their agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode). That installs a small client, one hook and the Koruvai MCP server.
- At the start of every session the hook syncs what the team published into that agent's own folders, so the agent loads it natively.
- Change a skill once; every teammate's agent has the new version next session.
