How to share Claude Code skills with your team
A skill one person writes is most useful when everyone's agent has it. Here are the ways to share Claude Code skills across a team.
Option 1: commit them to the repo
Put skills in .claude/skills/ inside a project repo. Everyone who clones it gets them. This works for skills tied to one repo, but not for skills the team uses everywhere, and it only reaches Claude Code.
Option 2: a shared skills repo or plugin
Keep team skills in their own git repo and have each person symlink or install it into ~/.claude/skills/. It works, but every person must pull updates by hand, and other agents (Codex, Cursor, OpenCode) need their own copies.
How Koruvai does it
- Your team keeps its skills, rules, hooks and MCP servers in one place on koruvai.com.
- Each teammate pastes one message into their agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode). That installs a small client, one hook and the Koruvai MCP server.
- At the start of every session the hook syncs what the team published into that agent's own folders, so the agent loads it natively.
- Change a skill once; every teammate's agent has the new version next session.
Proposing new skills
Any teammate's agent can propose a skill, with its scripts and templates. An admin sees every file, approves or rejects it, and once approved it reaches the whole team.
